Digestive Advantage Probiotic Gummies Review
Digestive Advantage Probiotic gummies are manufactured by Schiff Vitamins, which is among the oldest producers of dietary supplements. The company has been in operation since 1936.
Schiff Vitamins also produces other dietary supplements, including Airborne, Move Free, MegaRed, Digestive Advantage, and Neuriv.
In this Digestive Advantage probiotic gummies Review, we will discuss all the aspects of the probiotic gummies sold by Schiff Vitamins and will let you know if this ProBiotic is a scam or not.
What is Digestive Advantage?
Digestive Advantage is a brand of Schiff Vitamins, which mainly includes fiber, probiotics, and vitamin supplements to try and improve digestion among customers.
Most of the products sold under the Digestive Advantage brand are quite affordable. Today in February 2020, you can buy a single bottle containing 60 gummies for $14.29 from the Schiff Vitamin's website.
Their products can also be bought from major pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens, and other retailers, including Walmart, Amazon, Target, and Kroger.
Although, in practice, it's better to either buy directly from the company's website or buying from Amazon as here you will find the lowest possible prices.
Schiffs also sell Probiotics For Children, Capsules with a higher CFU Count and even Pre biotic and Probiotic Fiber Combos which I would love to try and review at some point.
Ingredients & Strains
Digestive Advantage Probiotic Gummies allow you to take probiotics in gummy form and contain a unique BC30 Bacillus Coagulans strain of probiotics (1), which they claim survives 10 times longer than common yogurt in the harsh conditions of your stomach. We could not find any studies for this claim.
One of my favorite Probiotic Gummies called Olly uses this strain. It's a very popular strain in probiotic gummy products.
A protein shell protects BC30 Bacillus Coagulans, a feature not found in other probiotic strains. This protein shell allows it to survive stomach acid until it reaches the intestine.
There is a study that shows BC30 Bacillus Coagulans can survive the extremes of stomach acid better than yogurt and other probiotic strains and is thus better digested in the intestines. (2)
Each gummy contains 250 million live cells at the time of manufacture. Other ingredients include sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, citric acid, sorbitol, lactic acid, soy, natural flavors, colors from fruits and vegetables.
As the gummies contain some allergens such as soy, gelatin, and corn syrup, so if you are allergic to any of these or any other ingredient, then it's better to avoid them.
I personally, experienced no side effects when taking the Digestive Advantage ProBiotic Gummies. These gummies are gluten free.
You should consult with a medical professional and discontinue use immediately if you experience any side effects. I am not a medical professional.
Schiff displays the following medical disclaimer on their website:
"These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."
I tried these to treat my diarrhea, bloating, and other digestive issues for a month before writing this review. I took a serving size of just 1 gummie per day.
The gummies are easy to chew and tasted great, although sometimes you get the feeling of chewing a medicine, mostly they are like normal candy gummies.
The company claims that they help treat diarrhea, and they somewhat helped me, but overall, I wasn't satisfied with the results as my bloating and indigestion continued even after taking these gummies.
I feel that the low bacteria count may be a reason as they have a quite low CFU count when compared with other probiotic supplements available in the market. I couldn't find how many million CFUs it has. (3)
Digestive Advantage Gummies Reviews
Most users seem to be satisfied with digestive advantage gummies as the reviews left for this product on Amazon, and the company's site are generally positive.
Jen'Annette wrote on Amazon that she first heard about these gummies from her sister in law and started taking these gummies recently. She found the taste of these gummies good and better than expected.
DGN wrote that he used to suffer from bloating and gas almost every day, but these have disappeared since he started taking the gummies.
Donald Freeman says that he used to suffer from chronic constipation, and these gummies helped him regularize his bowel movements. He feels much better now, and the gummies seem to be working well.
Not all of the Digestive Advantage Reviews were positive. Sarin left a 2-star review on Amazon saying that while he liked the taste, these gummies did not help him with his digestive issues.
I'd recommend these gummies only for someone who wants to take a low cell count probiotic for maintaining general health. These may not be the right choice if you want to relieve the symptoms of a serious stomach disorder such as diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. as you will need a probiotic supplement that has a much higher cell count than these gummies.
Schiff vitamins offer a 14-day 100% money-back guarantee in case you are not satisfied with the product and want to return it. The prices offered on the official website are cheaper than even those on Amazon, and you have the option to save a considerable sum if you buy a pack of 3 or 6 bottles. The company ships to all addresses within the US.
I liked the taste of the gummies and the fact that they helped me with diarrhea but am still not satisfied as they didn't help with my bloating and irregular bowel movements.
So, if you want to get rid of several stomach issues, then it's a good idea to first go consult with a medical professional and then try a stronger probiotic supplement as the low cell count in these gummies will not help you if you suffer from any stomach ailment although these are ideal for someone who is in good health and want to ensure that he is getting enough probiotics daily to maintain his health.
The Bottom Line: Should You Buy These?
While Digestive Advantage definitely works and they are not a scam. They still did not make it into the number 1 spot in my Best Probiotic Gummies of 2020 guide.
You can can read the guide to find out what product took the number 1 spot and what position Schiff Gummies came in.
